Booking an Appointment in Person
If you require a GP or nurse appointment please contact the surgery to do so. We would appreciate it if patients would not just turn up at the reception desk as it is not always possible to offer appointments there and then.
Patients are seen by appointment only. Our aim is for you to be seen by a doctor within 48 hrs to meet NHS guidelines whether your appointment is urgent or not.
Please telephone the practice at 8.30 am and you will be given an appointment that morning or be put through to a doctor or nurse who will give you advice over the telephone or ask you to attend the surgery.
Appointment duration is 10 minutes and appointments are for one person only.
We aim to see you within 30 minutes of your appointment time, however, delays can occur, in particular, where a doctor is called out of surgery to attend an emergency visit.
If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that it can be offered to someone else. It is your responsibility to cancel unwanted appointments.
If a patient wishes to speak to the doctor or nurse, we will book a telephone consultation slot for you and the doctor or nurse will contact you.
Unattended Appointments
Patients who fail to attend for their appointments and do not inform the practice incur significant cost to the practice and to other patients in terms of lost appointments. The practice is committed to providing appointments to meet the needs of patients but cannot replace appointments lost due to failure to attend.
Evening and Weekend Appointments
Extended GP access service is accessible 7 days per week. If you require an appointment on an evening or weekend please enquire with the reception team.

Home Visits
We operate a home visiting policy when required for patients who are elderly, immobile or deemed by the doctor too ill to attend surgery. To request a home visit where possible you need to telephone the Practice before 10.00 am and unless it is an emergency, please give details and a brief description of the problem to enable the doctor to determine the degree of urgency.
A doctor or nurse may telephone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice or it might appropriate to send a nurse or arrange a hospital attendance.
Remember, each home visit takes four or five times as long as a surgery consultation so we appreciate if patients try as hard as possible to come to the Practice. Visits are at the discretion of the Doctors.
Telephone & Video Consultations
Telephone: 01623 422355
The doctors are happy to discuss problems with you over the phone or via video consultation. For routine advice; patients can speak to a doctor at the end of morning surgery or before evening surgery. If the doctor is busy when you call, the receptionist may take your telephone number so that the doctor can call you back. It can help to give the receptionist an idea of what the problem is.
